2. (3 points) Explain the beneifits and risks to the enviroment of producing genetically modified foods.
3. (3 points) What are the benefits and risks to human health of consuming genetically modified foods.
4. (21 points) Write a 500 word essay expressing your opinion about whether genetically engineered foods should be labeled in the U.S., using researched facts to support your opinion. (Every fact should contain a citation.) If you agree with labeling what should the labels indicate and why, and also how will enforcement happen? If you do not think it should be labeled you will need to explain how you would address the concerns of many organizations (and the population in general). Make sure to identify what these concerns are.
Although I do check to make sure the the minimum word count is being met, I do not expect you to physically count the number of words in your submission in Word. Here is the easy way to do it.
Create your essay in Word, then click "Tools" and " Word Count." This takes only a couple of seconds and gives you the word count. If you have Word 2007 the word count will autmomatically appear in the lower left corner of your page.
