Roses are red…violets are blue…color is exciting…and so are you! How do we see the various colors in our environment? The colors we observe in a rainbow after a summer shower, in a color television, in the Sunday comics, in the paints used by an artist, and even the analysis of the composition of a distant planet are all based upon our understanding of the concepts of color and the way in which colors combine. The way in which the physiology of our eye interprets color will be explained using color addition and color subtraction. This topic will truly brighten your day. | |||||||
| As you work on this topic please remember to describe what you see as one of the following colors: red, blue green, yellow, cyan, or magenta. Also, please use white to indicate the presence of all colors and black for the absence of color. It is extremely important that you first strive to understand the principles of color addition and color subtraction and then make the predictions requested in each part of the laboratory. Only after you have made your predictions actually do the laboratory. Take your time and have fun - this is really super stuff ! | ||||||||
