GoldWave

 

How to install Gold Wave

      

        
	Click on the "GoldWave" Application.

      

      

        
	A "Windows" panel will come up asking "Ok", Cancel or "More Info", click on - "Ok".

      

        

        

          
 
   

            
 
Then this Window will come up.  Write down where your "GoldWave.exe" is being saved.
Click on - "Save".
 

            
The next Window will inform you that GoldWave is downloading.
When the above informs you that the "Download" is complete,  Click on "Close".
  

        
	Go to the "Windows Explorer", find the folder where "GoldWave.exe" was saved.  Double Click
	on "GoldWave.exe" and the following will come up.

          

            
Click on the "Unzip" this will create a Directory on your hard drive called "GoldWave"
 that will be located "C:\".  When the files have "unzipped", click on "Ok" and "Close".
 
 Using "Windows Explorer", find the "GoldWave" directory in "C:\" that was created.
Find and double click on GoldWave412.Exe unzip the files as before.
 
 
 
 
 

            
When the files have "unzipped", click "Ok" and "Close".   Now open and unzip
"GWNext.exe" just you did the others.  Using "Windows Explorer", click on "C:\"
and find "C:\PHSA105" 

          

        
	The folder created to hold the Gold Wave Application.  Inside will be a folder
	called "Gold Wave 4.12" which should contain the following, if you have been successful.
		          	C:\PHSA105\Gold Wave 4.12

        
			    |
			Express.eqx
			File_id.diz
			GOLDWAVE.exe
			Goldwave.hlp
			Gwpreset.ini
			Goldwave.txt
			Order.doc
			Readme.txt
			Whatsnew.txt

        
 

        

      
If these items are missing, delete all
      "Goldwave" folder and reinstall.

        

        

      
Setting Volume for Gold 
      Wave

      

        

          
There are several factors to the 
          reason why a person will get "LOW" or "NO SOUND".

          
Here are several suggestions to 
          correct this:

          
In the "Lower" right hand corner of 
          the "Task Bar", you will find the "System Tray", in the "System Tray", 
          will be found a "Speaker Icon", do as the picture below 
          asks.

          

            

              

                

                  

                    

                      

                        

                          

          
This will bring up a window called 
          "Master Out", in it you will find controls for all of your media 
          controls, but at this time we are only interested in the 
          "Microphone".

        

        

          
"Volume" (circled area), make sure the 
          "Volume" slider control is all the way up. "Mute" (square area, 
          with "Windows 98", it will have "Select" and must have check a mark in 
          the box ()), make sure there is no "Check" () Mark in the 
          "Mute" check box.  Having done all that, click on the "X" 
          in the upper right hand corner. All is ready for Gold Wave.

          
 

          
On some older sound cards there is a 
          Volume thumb control on the card, a person may have to adjust that as
